On April 1st
the Canopy Roads Citizens Committee called a special meeting
to present to the Planning Commission the decision to support parts
of the
Welaunee CAP that referred to Tallahassees canopy roads.
Specifically the presentation stated:
In the Heel: The committee unanimously voted to support the preservation
of
Miles Johnson Road as a linear park with two two-lane roadways adjoining
the
existing canopy on either side of the existing Miles Johnson Road.
This will
minimize the impact on Miccosukee Road and make Shamrock South a
connector
at the point of least impact.
In the Toe: The committee unanimously voted to allow one new cut
to
Centerville Road, and two new cuts to Miccosukee Road
unless
it is
determined that the property owner has the easement to establish
a third
connector that would have desirable impacts on Miccosukee Roads
canopy.
In both motions, Stan Chapman made the motions and Keith Finlayson
seconded
them.
